About me
Welcome! My name is Emily Grannemann, and I’m a dedicated eating disorder recovery coach and certified peer specialist with a deep, personal understanding of the complex journey toward healing.
For over two decades, I battled a severe and enduring eating disorder along with a chronic substance use disorder—a struggle that at times felt all-consuming and hopeless. My eating disorder and alcohol use were deeply intertwined, each fueling the other in a cycle that was difficult to break. I know what it’s like to feel trapped. I know the loneliness, the shame, and the fear that recovery might never be possible.
But I also know that recovery is possible—because I’ve lived it. Coaching played a transformative role in helping me find my way out when traditional approaches had fallen short. It gave me the tools, support, and hope I needed to begin rebuilding my life.
Today, I use my lived experience to support others walking their own recovery paths. My mission is to offer compassionate, non-judgmental guidance to individuals struggling with eating disorders, substance use, or both. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach that honors each person’s unique story, while addressing both the emotional and behavioral aspects of recovery.
While I’m not a licensed therapist or medical provider, my role as a coach is to offer encouragement, accountability, and practical tools—rooted in real-life experience and genuine understanding. I aim to create a safe, empowering space where you can feel seen, supported, and capable of healing.
Full recovery is possible for everyone—no matter how long you’ve struggled or how stuck you feel. You don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re just starting out or seeking support along the way, I’m here to walk beside you with empathy, integrity, and hope.
Let’s work together to reclaim your life and move toward the freedom and peace you deserve.
